About this rod

The Hardy Palakona C C De France 8' #5 Fly Rod is a vintage, high-quality fly fishing rod from the United Kingdom. Made with Palakona shaft material and measuring 8 feet in length, this rod is perfect for all freshwater fish species. It comes with a bag for easy transport and storage, making it a must-have for any fishing enthusiast looking for a reliable and durable rod for their fishing adventures.
This rod is used but in excellent condition as you can see from the photos.
These rods were commissioned by Jim Hardy in partnership with the Casting Club of France, they are light weight and very strong.
This particular rod number E71700 is 8’ or 245cm two piece and takes a #5 line. It comes with its original rod bag and both are housed in a hand made leather rod tube, which cost £500 alone.
There are not many used rods in this condition and it is priced to sell, I need the room.
